People say growing up is what you are supposed to do, but what about staying young forever? Who wants to grow up when you can be a kid? No responsibilities, no demands, no worrying about the future, nothing but playing and wondering when you next meal will be ( and if mom is going to give you something truly awful, like tuna). Couldn't we just be left alone to be young and naughty and wacky? Years ago kids my age (almost 14) would climb trees and play make-belief games. Could you imagine what it would be like to actually still be considered a kid at age 14 in our days? It doesn't seem possible.

Adults say you have to grow up sometime, I know this but do we have to become the President fresh out of Junior High? I don't want to be a kid for the rest of my life, but I don't want to be all grown up at ( almost) 14. How boring would that be? You're going to wear high heels for the rest of your life! You don't have to wear them now. It's the same thing with make-up, short dresses/skirts and boys. Be a kid and enjoy the freedom while you have it.

  1. Who says that one has to grow up at 14? I geuss that's better than having to grow up when you're 10 or 12 like in Greek and Roman times(you would usually be married around that age and have children soon after) Just think how lucky we are to still be in school, living with our parents instead of being married with children. If you're interested in my opinion, wearing make-up, high heels, and long dresses has nothing to do with growing up. I don't think one's phisical aspects determine if you are grown up, but your mental capacity and 'mental age'. I don't think that one can judge if someone is grown up on whether they 'like', or 'are in love' with boys since it's a normal statement that kindergardeners often make.
